Harry Potter and the Pope

Here is what Pope Benedict has to say about Harry Potter:

"It is good, that you enlighten people about Harry Potter, because those are subtle seductions, which act unnoticed and by this deeply distort Christianity in the soul, before it can grow properly."

The Pope was responding in writing to a German book critic who said this about the Harry Potter books:

"The Potter books corrupt the hearts of the young, preventing them from developing a properly ordered sense of good and evil, thus harming their relationship with God while that relationship is still in its infancy."

What do you guys think? Do the Potter books distort good and evil? And more importantly, do you see what the Pope's objections are?
